We believe every cup

Utamu was born from a shared dream: to give Africa's coffee heritage the stage it deserves. Founded in 2023 by Clarisse, Révérien, Régis, and Roger, we opened our doors in Liège with a conviction — that the richness of Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, and Kenya could reshape how Europe experiences coffee.

We bypass intermediaries to pay producers fairly. We blend African authenticity with European patisserie sophistication. Every Amandazi beignet, every single-origin pour, every detail of our space is an invitation to cross borders without leaving your seat.

From the highlands

We source exclusively from East Africa's finest growing regions — working directly with small-scale producers who invest in sustainable agriculture. Roasted in Belgium by OR Coffee to preserve every nuance of terroir.
